Confronting Lebanon's Waste Crisis

As Lebanon's municipalities dump or burn an estimated 2.5 million tons of garbage annually, environmental activists are trying to raise awareness and change policy. Earlier this month, a group of volunteers went to Beirut's last public beach for a zero waste cleanup.
